Since Nigerian independence till date, series of medical tourisms have taken place outside the shores of Nigeria to other countries such as Europe, America, Asia etc all in the name of getting the best medical attention. Yes, they were right then,  but cannot be seen right now in this twenty- first century. Several factors were responsible for many Nigerians going abroad then. Firstly, personnel were inadequate and secondly, facilities were not available to handle certain disease burdens plaguing lots of Nigerians, hence the need to travel out for such treatment. But this medical tourism was only limited to a few privileged persons. However, only those with the resources either as business tycoons, government officials or sponsored by corperate organizations.
